Where is an airline's factory? In the sky; an airline produces its service on a flight network, much like a factory's production line.
In this short flight accompanying the ninth episode of the Airline Management Essentials series, you separate the spatial and timing approaches to network design, test the wave and connection window concepts of the hub-and-spoke system, and make a fictional airline's network decision. When you complete the flight, you earn the Network Architect badge and add one more star to your badge board.
How to play?
Briefing: You learn the route of the flight and your mission.
Task: You place network design questions in the spatial approach or the timing approach, then test waves, the connection window, minimum connecting time and hub-and-spoke network types with short questions.
Decision moment: You choose a fictional airline's most sensible network decision for passengers in nine cities who want to fly to Antalya but lack enough demand for a direct flight. Every good call earns flight hours; a wrong call costs fuel, but the flight goes on.
Video bonus: If you watch the episode video from inside the game, the hours you earn on that flight are doubled.
